The Extended Central Executive Committee Meeting of BSNL Employees Union was held on 25 th to 27th August, 2022 at Zonal Telecom Training Centre, Mysore, Karnataka. On 25th August, 22 CEC meeting was held with Circle Secretaries and CHQ Office Bearers. The extended CEC meeting started on 26th August sharp at 10-00 AM and concluded on 27th August at 2-30 PM. Altogether 135 District Secretaries have attended the extended CEC alongwith Circle Secretaries and CHQ office bearers. After hoisting of Red flag and garlanding the martyrs column Com HV Sudarshan, Circle Secretary, Karnataka welcomed all. Com Animesh Mitra, President BSNLEU deliberated his Presidential Speech. After that Com P.Abhimanyu, GS BSNLEU initiated the discussion with his elaborate speech. In his deliberation Com Abhimanyu narrated the present situation, duties & responsibilities of BSNLEU leaders on the eve of 9th Membership Verification which is going to be held on 12th October, 2022. Altogether 67 District Secretaries presented their views in two days. Com Prakash Das, DS Purulia, Com Sanjoy Pal, DS Bankura, Com Lakhinarayan Sao, DS Asansol, Com Maniklal Sarkar, DS Kolkata and Com Amitava Chattopadhyay, ACS deliberated their speeches on behalf of BSNLEU WB Circle. Com Sujoy Sarkar, CS, BSNLEU WB gave his speech in the CEC meeting on 25/8/2022. After hearing all the speakers Com P.Abhimanyu summed up. Number of important decisions & programme were taken which will be intimated later.

*CEC meeting of BSNLEU started enthusiastically at Mysuru.* The one day Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU started enthusiastically in the Zonal Training Centre at Mysuru today. Com.Animesh Mitra, President, is presiding over the meeting. After paying homage to the martyrs, the meeting started with the welcome address of Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS and Com.H.V. Sudharshan, CS, Karnataka circle. Com.Animesh Mitra, delivered the presidential address. The report on activities was presented by Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS. Thereafter, debate by the CEC members started. All the CEC members appreciated the functioning of the Central Head Quarters and approved the decisions taken by the All India Centre on various issues. The meeting is continuing. আজকে এআইবিডিপিএ এর ডাকে সঞ্চার ভবন অভিযান করা হয়। ইস্ট্রান কোর্ট বিএস‌এন‌এল দপ্তরের সামনে অবসরপ্রাপ্ত কর্মচারীদের জমায়েত হয়েছিল বড় আকারে। এখানে সুসজ্জিত প্ল্যাকার্ড, ফেস্টুন, পোস্টার সহযোগে সমাবেশে দেখা গেল অনেকের গায়ে লাল জামা। কারোর মাথায় সাদা টুপি। সমাবেশে সভাপতিত্ব করেন প্রবীন নেতা ভি এ এন নাম্বুদ্রি। বক্তব্য রাখেন সহ-সম্পাদক সজ্ঞীব ব্যানার্জী, এ আর সিন্ধু সম্পাদক সিআইটিইউ, পি অভিমন্যু সাধারণ সম্পাদক বিএস‌এন‌এল‌ইইউ, আর এন পরাশর-জেনারেল সেক্রেটারি কনফেডারেশন, কে কে এন কুট্টি জিএস – এনসিসিপিএ, কে রাঘবেন্দ্রন – এআইপিআর‌ইএ, অনিমেষ মিত্র -সিসিডব্লুএ প্রমুখ নেতৃবৃন্দ। বক্তারা তাদের বক্তব্যে পেনশনারদের প্রতি সরকার নেতিবাচক মনোভাব নিয়ে চলেছে অভিযোগ করেন। অবিলম্বে ১৫ শতাংশ ফিটমেন্ট বেনিফিট পেনশন রিভিশনের দাবি করেন। এরপর কর্মছারীরা মিছিল করে সঞ্চার ভবন অভিযানের জন্য তৈরি। এরমধ্যে পুলিশ, সিআরপি গোটি বিল্ডিং অবরুদ্ধ করে। কাঁদানে গ্যাস ও জলকামান রাখা ছিল আন্দোলনকারীদের আটকানোর জন্য। তাঁরা কাউকে মিছিল করে যেতে দেবে না। শেষ পর্যন্ত মিছিল করা হয়নি। প্রেস কনফারেন্স করে সমস্ত ঘটনা ব্যাখা করেন।

*AIBDPA organises a major programme at New Delhi, demanding Pension Revision and other burning problems of the pensioners.* The All India BSNL & DOT Pensioners Association (AIBDPA) had given call for a March to Sanchar Bhawan today, demanding Pension Revision and settlement of other burning problems of the pensioners. Hundreds of comrades came from the nooks and corners of the country, to participate in this programme. The programme started with a massive inaugural meeting at the Eastern Court, at Janpath. Com.V.A.N. Namboodiri, Advisor, AIBDPA, presided over the meeting. Com.A.R. Sindhu, Secretary, CITU, delivered the inaugural speech. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, BSNLEU addressed the meeting. In his speech, the General Secretary greeted all the AIBDPA comrades, who had earlier worked in BSNLEU. He congratulated everyone for being in active trade union life and fighting for the cause of the pensioners, serving employees and also for the revival of the BSNL. As regards the pension revision w.e.f. 01.01.2017, the General Secretary firmly told that, no one can stop it for ever. On the recent Revival Package for BSNL, the General Secretary exposed it with facts and figures. Further, he solicited the support of the pensioners in all the struggles to be organised against the nefarious game plans of the Government, to weaken BSNL and to hand it over to the private. Others who addressed the meeting included Com.KKN.Kutty,SG, NCCPA, Com.R.N.Parashar, SG, Confederation, Com.K.Ragavendiran, GS, Postal Pensioners Association and others. However, this March to Sanchar Bhawan programme was canceled in the last minute, since the police was determined not to allow it, due to the promulgation of section 144.
